Overview

Dollar General #16637 in North Palm Coast operates as a minor outlet with perishables and has completed 4 FDACS inspections since January 2022. The facility faced significant compliance issues during its January 2025 initial inspection, when it was operating without a valid food permit and 15 violations were cited, including priority-level findings: liquid chemicals stored above packaged food and single-use items in the register area and dollar aisle, and evidence of rodent droppings found along backroom walls, under shelving, and on the backroom floor adjacent to the mop sink. The facility also lacked signed employee illness reporting agreements and did not have a thermometer available for temperature verification. During the February 2025 re-inspection to verify compliance, the facility had resolved the chemical storage violations by rearranging displays and other corrected-on-site issues, meeting sanitation inspection requirements, though 9 violations remained documented. The facility was then issued two focused inspections on August 28 and September 18, 2025, both with zero violations, addressing specific management requests. The most recent inspection on September 18, 2025 found no violations.
