Corrections Policy
Our Commitment
FloridaFoodSafety.org is committed to accuracy. When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. We take every correction request seriously.
What We Can Correct
- Data errors: Incorrect inspection dates, violation counts, closure records, or fine amounts that do not match official DBPR/FDACS records
- Business information: Wrong address, business name, license number, or county assignment
- AI summary errors: Factual inaccuracies in AI-generated facility overviews
- Broken links or display issues: Technical problems affecting data presentation
What We Cannot Change
- Official state records: We present data as reported by Florida DBPR and FDACS. If you believe a state record is wrong, contact the issuing agency directly at MyFloridaLicense.com
- Removal of accurate records: We do not remove legitimate inspection data, violation records, or closure history. These are public records
- Historical inspections: Past inspection results reflect conditions at the time of inspection, not current conditions

- The URL of the page containing the error
- The specific information you believe is incorrect
- The correct information, with a reference to the official source (DBPR license lookup, inspection report, etc.)

Response Time
We review correction requests within 48 hours. If the error is confirmed, the page will be updated promptly. If we cannot verify the correction, we will respond with an explanation.
Facility Owners
If you are a facility owner and believe your inspection record has improved since the data shown on our site, we encourage you to verify that your latest inspection results are reflected in DBPR records. Our data is updated regularly from state sources, and improvements will appear on your page as they are published by the state.
