Kitchen: Plumbing for hand wash sink was in disrepair and unable to provide sufficient hot and cold water under pressure to effectively wash hands. Stop-Use order issued.
93 The food establishment denied the Department's authorized agent free access to the establishment or vehicle for the purpose of determining regulatory compliance including compliance with all sanitary rules adopted by the Department. 500.147(1) F.S.
Inspectors were initially allowed access for inspection. After verifying the food permit, inspectors attempted to wash hands and found the hand wash sink to not provide sufficient quantities of hot water for proper hand washing. A discussion was had with the person in charge about the hand washing sink and the possibility of the need to place a stop order on all processing. The person in charge confirmed the hot and cold water at the hand wash sink did not work properly. The person in charge became very hostile and denied further access to the establishment and advised inspectors to leave. Inspectors again made contact with the person in charge and advised him that failure to allow access may result in administrative action or permit suspension. After informing the person in charge of the possible actions, access was again requested, and was denied. o A Supplemental Report was also issued during the visit which includes important information for management.
