Overview

Davila Bakery & Restaurant in Winter Haven is a retail bakery with food service that underwent preoperational inspections in March and April 2026. An initial inspection on March 26, 2026 did not meet preoperational requirements due to absent hot water at employee restroom hand wash sinks; the facility was required to address this construction deficiency before proceeding. A follow-up inspection on April 1, 2026 found the facility had corrected the hot water issue and met preoperational requirements, though two priority foundation violations were cited: the person in charge lacked documented employee health policy knowledge and the establishment had not developed written procedures for vomit or diarrhea event cleanup. The inspector provided guidance materials to help the facility develop these required policies before opening.
