A visit was conducted in response to request #5137286 Guidance documents provided via email: CHAPTER 5K-4 (Hemp) and Guidance for the Cleanup of Vomiting and Diarrheal Events. Hemp extract products for human consumption must meet requirements as per 5K-4.034, F.A.C. and s. 581.217, F.S. which have been provided via email. Stop Sale Order issued. Food establishment may visit https://foodpermit.fdacs.gov or contact the Business Center at (850) 245-5520 to request a written release of the Stop Sale Order. If the product contains a controlled substance, a court order obtained by a law enforcement agency may be required before the Department may release the product for destruction. Failure to obtain a written release from the Department prior to moving the stopped product or failure to comply with the terms of the Department's written release will result in Administrative Action.
